Is it fair?

When a formula one car speeds past you, you'll admire the talent of the driver. When the same driver drives a normal car in the streets at the same speed, you'll be calling him a maniac. Now, the driver in both the cases is the same. The location where he drives has changed. When you expect the same person to act differently in two different places, how is it possible for a person to be the same throughout his life? Is it fair on the part of us to expect a person to remain the same till his death?
